I had a really hard time deciding what to wear on my nails for my senior prom. I did a french manicure for prom last year, so I wanted to do something different. I didn't want to match my nails to my dress but I still wanted them to complement each other. I found the perfect polish for this; Nicole by O.P.I "Kim-Pletely In Love".
"Kim-Pletely In Love" is from the Kardashian line, and at first glance it just looks like your typical baby pink. But in actuality, it has the most beautiful micro-shimmer that reflects blue and green. It is simply stunning. I knew that this would look perfect because my dress was a midtone blue that reflected a bit of teal green. I couldn't get the shimmer to show up in my nail swatch picture, so I took a picture of the bottle where you can see it better. It is blurry, but you get the idea.
Baby pink is classically pretty, and up close against my dress, especially in the sunlight, the micro-shimmer matched my dress incredibly well! I didn't expect my date (or anyone for that matter) to notice, but being the nail-junkie that I am, it made me very excited to find the perfect color!
One thing about this polish though is that it is
extremely sheer. When I swatched it on one nail when I first got it, it took 5 coats to cover up my nail lines. I wanted it to be more of an opaque pink color, so I used two coats of Revlon "Peach Petal" with one coat of "Kim-Pletely In Love" over the top. I am very happy with the way it turned out!
