NYX HD Eyeshadow Primer Review

The NYX HD Eyeshadow Base claims to do the same things as basically all other eye primers; prep your eyelids and make your shadow more vibrant while keeping it from creasing and fading. I am happy to report that this does all of these things!

The primer is housed in a tube with a doe-foot applicator, which might bother some people, but I really like it. All you need is a quick swipe on each eye and a little goes a long way. Since it is a creamy nude color, it does neutralize the redness on my eyelids a bit but not entirely. I don't have severely discolored lids to start with, so don't count on this acting like a concealer.

Other than that, it does everything it claims to do beautifully! I think that it works just as well as the high end samples I have tried, and it feels less greasy than Urban Decay Primer Potion. It is inexpensive ($6.99) and you can usually find a good deal on NYX products at Ulta. Like all of the NYX cosmetics I have tried, this works extremely well and I absolutely love it. I use it daily without fail!

Bottom line, you need this, because honestly, it's a crime not to prime! ;)
